Ethiopia: Ethiopia's Zenawi Gov jams its own ETV station In an attempt to disrupt ESAT (Opposition) signals, Meles Zenawi’s regime knocked off the broadcast signals of its own ETV along with a number of other international satellite service providers, ESAT revealson Tuesday. According to the press release by ESAT, The Ethiopian Government by attempting to knock out ESAT ended up knocking itself off the air. Earlier EMF has reported that Meles Zenawi had called emergency meeting to discuss on extended resumption of ESAT. After the meeting, Zenawi ordered a panic attack on ESAT signals, which resulted in a brief interruption of ESAT, its own ETV and Eritrea’s ERITV on Thursday, 15 July. Read the report here.
Sources say Zenawi is now determined to shut down ETV, its only propaganda channel than seeing the public watching ESAT. The illegal signal interference points exclusively in the direction of the Ethiopian to attack on ESAT affects all the channels under the same bouquet.
